I recently saw the cutest twisted updo style on Instagram, posted by Danielle Carrington. The style featured small braids that were rolled and tucked into an updo with a pompadur in the front. I immediately started to think “how can I recreate this style on my own hair?” For a few weeks, I thought and thought and thought. Finally, it dawned on me that if I did some small-medium two-strand twists, I could create a similar look.
For those with shorter hair, you may need to use more hair pins to keep the hair in place. Alternatively, you could do this style on loose hair that is freshly washed and detangled or from a twist-out or braid-out. This style could also be done with braid or twist extensions. Twisting the hair is the long and hard part – putting the hair in this style takes less than five minutes.
