One of my favorite go-to colors for the summer is brown – it’s light enough to brighten your smile, but dark enough to transition back into the fall. For added dimension, ask your stylist for pops of blonde highlights and/or lowlights and your curls will for sure be on POPPINGTON!

Do blondes have more fun? From the looks of this beauty, I’d say absolutely! Platinum blonde can truly accentuate your most beloved features, yet give you an edge like none other. Since most blonde hues require bleaching your tresses, the best way to achieve this color is by way of your stylist to ensure over processing doesn’t take place.

Back to Black
For the curlies out there already rocking color or for those who are afraid to shy away from dark hues, nothing screams sophistication better than all black tresses. Try this: instead of dying hair black brown (as most of our natural hair color appears) shoot for a jet black or blue black. It adds incredible intensity and the shine payoff is undeniable!

Red Hot like Fire
*in my Alicia Keys voice* THIS HAIR IS ON FIYAHHHHH! Rocking these red tresses will make you way too hot to handle! Red can easily fade in the summer heat, so make sure to wash with shampoos and conditioners specifically designed to treat color treated hair for the ultimate color payoff. To make your curls pop (and the color pop) even more, always rinse with cold water to seal in that cuticle (and that color)!

Cool Hues with a Big Pop!
Hot hues are not the only color that many of us will be rocking! Purples, blues, pinks and greens are also making their debut and offer so much more edginess to a look! These hues can be applied throughout the entire head of curls or as highlights (as shown above). Want to try these colors without the commitment? Try temporary hair color such as hair chalks or eyeshadows and watch them wash away just as easily as they were applied.
