For the duration of this year I’ve been dedicated to doing my hair myself. My focus has been on learning my hair and rocking low manipulation styles. Every one to two weeks I whip up a flat twist style or a two strand twist style and then I do my best to hold down that look all week long from Monday to Friday. When the weekend comes I might treat myself to a ponytail or twist out, but then the next day it’s back to a protective style.
I have broke my DIY flow 2 or 3 times this year due to a couple weddings and big events that warranted some razzle dazzle. For those occasions I sought out my go-to Atlanta hair stylist April B. She got me all fancied up with one of her signature updos. Outside of that I’ve been true to the protective stylin’ game.
But this month in particular, I’ve been feeling burnt out on doing my hair. My work schedule of late has been mad hectic causing me to cut short my long stretches of hair frolicking in the mirror. And I’ve a case of hairstyle creators block.
I decided the answer to my problem would be a fresh new look. Havana Twists have been on my mind for quite some time so I connected with Zarah Charm THE Havana Twist specialist to schedule an appointment.
This weeks video I’m serving up the detail of my havana twist experience with natural hair stylist Zarah Charm.
