Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and we all know what that means, right? There will be a perfect combination of relationship bliss for those oh-so-cute couples. And for those waging an all-out war against the very concept of the holiday there will be some sarcastic comments.
But, what if you’re single and don’t have any negative feelings toward Valentine’s Day and its celebration of love (and, admittedly, you don’t really mind the commercialization of it, either—what lady doesn’t like being showered with gifts)? What if you just want to celebrate with your best group of lady-friends and spend some quality time with the gals who’ve had your back on your best and worst days?
Well, that’s where I come in, ladies. I’ve put together a few outfits to help you celebrate your Girls’ Night Out: Valentine’s Edition. Whether you’re fine-dining at a snazzy restaurant, keeping it more low-key, or shutting it down all over town, these looks will bring the extra bit of oomph that will have you circling February 14th on your calendar with a big, red heart in anticipation.
Outfit #1
Zebra-print silk-jersey dress, Issa ($197.50); Servana bootie, Aldo ($120); Patterned minaudiére, Zara ($89.90)
For fine dining, choose a show-stopping, printed sheath that shows off your personality. Paired with simple, yet eye-catching white ankle booties and a chic minaudiére, don’t be surprised if you and your girls snag the best table of the night.
Outfit #2
Long-sleeve dress, Zara ($79.90); Patchuli VII wedges, Melissa ($145); Lisette shoulder bag, Sole Society ($99.95)
For more laid-back plans, like a show and dessert, opt for a fun, flared piece. Give a little nod to the holiday with a red shoulder bag. A pair of wedges will keep you comfortable while you’re out on the town.
Outfit #3
Silk blouse, H&M ($49.95); Alpine Trousers, Diane von Furstenberg ($105); Heartbreak heeled sandals ($41.67); Cracked leather messenger bag, Zara ($99.90)
Hosting a get-together at your place? Tailored trousers will give you that nonchalant, “oh, I always lounge around in these old things” vibe, while also serving as a perfect look if you all decide to go out for drinks and dessert after dinner.
